“The Guitar Show” is a 13-part TV series featuring some of the world’s greatest players in every genre, commencing broadcast in November 2001. Sit back and share their passion through interviews, master classes, classic clips, guitar secrets and some the most extraordinary playing – ever.
Each 30 minute episode of The Guitar Show has a number of regular segments, the most important of which is a feature interview which takes the viewer backstage and onstage with a major guitarist. They discuss the influences and inspirations behind their playing, tell us how they get their sound, talk about their instruments and technique, and offer some musical and technical tips along the way.
During 2001 we interviewed some of the best in the business, including Angus Young, Ben Harper, Richie Sambora, Steve Morse from Deep Purple/Dixie Dregs, Eric Johnson, Martin Taylor, Tommy Emmanuel, Tony Joe White, Duke Robillard, Taj Mahal, Little Feat, National steel guitar virtuoso Bob Brozman, Buddy Miller, Jeff Lang, Brett Garsed, Slava Grigoryan, Will Ray, Jerry Donahue, Rod McCormack, Andy Summers and Roger McGuinn.
